Rain - November 10, 2010

Received from our Miss Indiana Job's Daughter, Rustie

Lyrray Pierce (my mom) received notification that her markers have been up for the last appointments, which could mean that she may have cancer again or possibly rheumatoid arthritis. The scar tissue makes it nearly impossible to detect cancer early. If she has cancer again, it means that the cancer is not responding to her extensive medical regimin. Please keep her in your prayers.

From Lynn Cooper, AGG

Kathy Cooper, Grand 5th Messenger, has not been feeling well for the last couple of weeks. She has had problems eating and keeping things down. Today she was just totally exhausted and was feeling pain in her lungs. After dinner this evening we took her to the emergency room at Riverview Hospital. She has an irregular heart beat with a heart rate bouncing between 90 and 150. They did a CT Scan to check for blood clots and found none. She will see a cardiologist in the morning to determine further testing. She is in room 3308, Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, IN.

10/13/10 - UPDATE
Kathy is in Riverview Hospital in Noblesville with an irregular heartbeat. The condition is A. Fib with the biggest complication being that she could send a blood clot to her brain which could cause her to stroke. They are controlling her heart rate and will be putting her on blood thinners today. She may come home today or within the next few days. She is in room 3308 and her cell is (260) 710-5087. She can have visitors.

From Tara Waller, BG #25

I am at the hospital with Mike. We are needing prayers and thoughts for us, as Mike burnt his feet and is a diabetic. He was admitted to Ball Memorial hospital on Friday 9-3-10. He has 2nd to 3rd degree burns. We don't know yet if he will have to have surgery or maybe even have part of his foot amputated. We will keep you informed as we learn more.

UPDATE - 9/6/10
Great news!!! Mike was released from the hospital on Saturday afternoon. No surgery. The burns should heal on their own, but he is on bedrest except to go the bathroom. Feet are to be elavated. Plastic surgeon says no work for 2 weeks. Dressing changes to feet twice a day. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!!

Camp Mack

We were in that area over the weekend for the Worthy Grand Matrons reception. We saw several from Job's there. We also stopped at Camp Mack and took some pictures of the building that burnt and of their "new dining quarters." Phil Fisher, PABG #34

Robert Lamb - Update

Just a quick note to tell you that Robert is critical in the hospital. We took him early Saturday morning and hope to know more today. It is heart and lungs. Entibated, sedated, many tubes and the works. When the sedative is low he does respond. Rosella
