Rain (and a little sunshine) - Sept. 3, 2011
Received from Anita Snider, Past Grand Guardian:
I know some of you have heard this, but for those who have not, I had a meniscus tear and had it repaired yesterday, so I am off my feet for a while. At least I cannot drive. I stayed at Vicki's last night and she is taking me home this afternoon. I am feeling OK and hope to be able to drive in 2 weeks. I hope the rest of you are doing fine and miss seeing you. Love, Anita

Received from Sally Reynolds - June 27, 2011
Ashley (Reynolds) Hamilton's husband was taken back to surgery this afternoon (June 27th) in Fort Wayne.
He had original surgery June 1st & hasn't healed under his arm pits. Ashley has been giving one on one care since he came home on June 3rd & having to work. Doctor's appt today had him being admitted & surgery scheduled for the afternoon to try to close incisions from previous surgery.
Their 2 children have been in the Region with Nana & Papa (Sally & Joe Reynolds) & were watched by his sister & Mom while Sally was at GS.
They & their dog will remain in NWI until further notice. Prayers for everyone-- & especially for Sadie (3) & Bryce (5) because they miss Mommy & Daddy.
Thanks,
Sally Reynolds
UPDATE-JULY 1, 2011
Jared had more surgery yesterday (June 30th) to change wound vac & clear more tissue. He did get to see Bryce & Sadie as Nana Sally brought them to St Joseph Hosp in Ft Wayne. He and Ashley were excited to see them.
Ashley took kids to park to play as Sally & Sister Gayle sat with Jared before surgery. Doctor was encouraged with healing and is planning to do surgery AGAIN on Saturday & remove wound vac & do skin grafting to both arms.
If anybody from Ft Wayne has time to visit, I'm sure Jared & Ashley would like some company. He's in the Wound/Burn center Room #10.
Kids are in Carmel with Great Aunt Gayle and friends for play-dates.
Keep those prayers coming for encouragement and healing. There is a long road ahead.
Thanks,
Sally Reynolds
